The four questions everyone asks.
Do my books leave my computer?
No. Your library lives in plain folders on your own disk — you can open them in your file manager. Liber indexes them; it never uploads them. Encrypted cloud backup exists, it is optional, and it is off unless you turn it on.
Do I need an account?
No. No sign-up, no password, no email to use the app. Premium is unlocked with a license key, not a login.
What happens to my Calibre library?
Drag the folder in and Liber imports it — files, metadata, covers, tags and series. Duplicates are skipped and your original Calibre library is never modified, so you can run both while you decide.
Is "free" really free?
Yes. Unlimited books, the reader, metadata, search, and format conversion — including bulk — are free forever, with no ads and no watermarks. Premium adds AI, cloud backup and wireless Kindle delivery. That is the whole catch.
